Title: NAD DAC 2 Wireless USB Digital-to-Analogue Converter
Post by: LMK on March 19, 2015, 03:13:49 pm
Hello,
I am considering to buy NAD DAC 2 Wireless USB Digital-to-Analogue Converter. Will it work with JRiver 19? Should I expect any problems?

Thanks in advance.

Did you buy one of these in the mean time? I'm considering to buy one too, but I'd love to hear some user experiences. I'm sure it will work fine with JRiver, but any thoughts or tips would be welcome :-)

(I've only recently started using JRiver by the way and I absolutely fell in love with it!)

From this write up, it sounds like it uses a plug and play WASAPI interface format:

On that basis and sound unheard, MC should have no problems. Even so, do your research.

Not sure how the dollars add up but you could grab an Id and a USB DAC and get the same result. The NAD would have a convenience advantage though..  ;)

Hi Weirdomusic,

I purchased NAD 2 DAC. It works great. No problems with JR. I have bought it since I need digital outputs for my NAD C390DD amplifier. Other DACs of this type do not have them. Did not try analog outputs, so cannot advice on this.

Best.
