Title: Files not moved
Post by: Humbledore on March 23, 2015, 01:45:43 pm
The option 'Move all files in folder...' at Tools > Rename, Move & Copy Files doesn't work as expected. I have it enabled but it still leaves pdf and jpg files in the old folder.

It works here.

Remember that the files have to not be imported.  If a file is imported, you need to run it through the rename tool manually.

Thanks, these files are Society of Sound downloads which includes art work and pdf documentation. But why this kind of restriction? I want all files to be moved regardless how they got into the folder...

i agree it's a weird restriction...i remember at some point matt mentioning a reason but i can't remember

i've gotten around it by using import folders that ONLY look at audio or video, then when they are moved to the main library folders (which import EVERYTHING) the .jpg, .pdf, etc go with them and then are imported into MC as normal for me to view.  it actually works really well, just took a bit of setting up to get it all proper.
