Title: Tags not updating files

I am trying to introduce new fields to my taggings.  I have followed the advice given.  Configured the 'MP3' in plugins ID3 V1 and v2 are set to 'create (save as necessary).  

Under tree and view settings I have added a new library field and ensured that the 'store in file tags' is ticked.

When I try to update an MP3's properties with my new field, I get the warning 'Failed to update the following files:........'

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Are the files Read Only?  (Right click>Properties in Windows Explorer).

why don't you take a picture of the config and post that along with the system info under MC9 help in the program.

Sounds like its a silly read only mistake!!  Is there a way to get rid of the read only setting on all files?

yes, select them all in windows explorer and right click change them in properties
