Title: Sizing problems
Post by: kentucio on March 25, 2015, 09:36:45 am
Hello. Starting with version .84 have a problem with font scaling. In version .87 problem still exists. The font is too large. My monitor resolution 1920 * 1080. I use the skin "Black on Black". In this the skins do not support changing the font size manually. Due to this problem, is shifted playback controls, such as scroll bars and other buttons.

17. Fixed: Sliders would not draw the handle the right size on high DPI displays.
This broke scaling support for sliders. (the built-in skins all use 1x images)

You can change the font size to anything you like in Options > Tree & View > Select font

It is caused by MC scaling up non-retina skins based on the Windows scale now.
This is why the size options need to be absolute (100% = 1x size) and not relative as they now are. (100% = 1x Windows Scale = 125/150/200% etc.)

You can't even fix this manually with non-retina skins, since the scaling options are disabled.

Is this the correct place to post this UI issue.  It's been occurring since .84  - Skin: Black On Black

20.0.87 -  issue still present.  Makes the timeline difficult to see.

Can black on black skin be updated to have this fixed please.   Can the skin maybe have the size option working.

This install of .87 force font size to 13,  so did .84 come to think about it.  The installed looked really odd and massive on screen.

For me 87 looks just like 84; there has been no improvement in appearance.

There is a fix for the player bar coming in the next build, it should hopefully help with JonnyRedHed's Black-on-Black problem.

Hi,

I attached a screenshot so you can check my current state (20.0.87 on Windows 8.1). I had no issues with any of previous versions.

This is what I got after I reduced a lot the font size. Yes, it got better, but the player sizing issue remains.

This is annoying, can you please work on a fix ASAP?

Many thanks!

Using 87 for me the theater view is too big the menu that comes up to play is huge.

I have put this on my office machine and its fine.

On my HTPC 1920 x 1080 the fonts don't stick the scaling is off and theater view is huge I use Blue steel skin

How do I fix this

Same problem here with Windows 8.1 and the .87 build.

Also, the About box text scaling is off when used on a QHD screen.
