Title: Where did my on-screen display go? [solved]

I have noticed in recent days that while watching any type of video--television included--I no longer get the on-screen display that comes up at the bottom of the display when you press the up and down arrow keys. What happened? I am using .87 by the way, but it first disappeared in the previous version, which I think was .84 or so.

You probably got it turned off somehow. There's an option now, in Tools > Options.  Not sure exactly where right now, but search the Options dialog for OSD.

Glynor, that was it! I have no idea how it got turned off. I think a version update might have done it inadvertently...or maybe gremlins did it...
