MC 20.0.87. Win7 64.
The program updated last night, and now the fonts will not remain where I've set them.
Noire skin, size 100%, font set to the default type (Segoe UI), Regular, size 11. Every time the program is restarted, it changes the font size to 12. I change it back, it remains at my setting until the next time I start the program. There have been no changes to Windows system fonts or sizes prior to or after the MC update occurred.

This is really a mystery. Is there anything special about your setup?
What size have you picked from the size menu?

Nothing unusual about my set up, either Windows or MC specifically. Everything was fine, program updated, and then the font size thing started.
I keep the skin size at 100%
Font I set to 11 in the Options/Fonts/Size menu. Each time the program is started, it changes the font size to 12. when I change it back, i get the pop up about how MC uses a smaller font size and may look funny at a larger size, but it works for me. It just now changes it to 12 at each start.
I should add that right after the update, the skin size and font size were both larger than where I had them set.
But the only thing that doesn't "stick" is the font size. The other changes I made to fix the appearance after the update all remain where I put them.
-
Can anybody else reproduce this?
Thanks.

I experienced the same issue after the upgrade.
But I noticed certain font sizes would stick and others would not.
So I decided just to use one that stuck.
Not at home at the moment so cannot be more specific until later.

Yes, I can reproduce something here, but the skinning engine appears to be getting very confused.....
This is what I did:
I started off at 100% size, Segoe UI 9pt.
Changes made to font size stuck correctly.
I then changed to 125% size, and started playing with the font size again.
Changes made here again stuck correctly.
I finally attempted to revert back to where I was, at which point things went pear shaped :o
Carrying on playing with it, I managed to get the font size to revert a couple of times after a restart, but I can't find a conclusive pattern at the moment.
110% scale, 9pt font size appears to get me back to where I was (or at least thought I was...)
I have a nasty suspicion that something doesn't like altering both the font size and scaling factor at the same time. I also suspect that something is getting corrupted somewhere?

I've tried every font size, and only 11 causes this problem for me, which is where it was set prior to the update. Once I add in skin scaling, things get more complicated.

I set Segoe UI to 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 and restarted in between each set. Each time the size stuck.
-
Dunno ?
The first oddity I noticed was the 'wrong' size when I attempted to revert to my original 9pt 100% settings.
After that I started fiddling with the settings to try and get the size to what it was previously, and that's when I noticed a couple of 'reversions' in the font size.
I should have been paying closer attention to exactly what I was doing to trigger it, but I was trying to get the sizing right :D
I can't now trigger it on demand, but I'm practically certain that 100% 9pt is no longer the size it used to be; I'll try and test using this monitor and the laptop at the weekend and see what that looks like.

Try a combo with the skin size a little larger? Then revert.
I'm wondering if there is a conflict with Windows font settings, or perhaps some kind of corruption in my preferences that occurred during/with the update? The reversion to 12 from 11 is entirely consistent for me - occurs each program start.

If you change to size setting, it's possible the font size will change as well.
I'm not even sure, but that's a reasonable thing to have happen.

Of course.
It seems from the other posters that altering the skin size and the font size, then attempting to reset them can trigger this issue.
In my case, I keep the skin at 100% no matter which font I choose or when the program resets it to 12. It was 100% when the update occurred.

We just can't reproduce this. I tried on a second computer here and no luck.
Strange.

Bizarre.
If it might be a preferences corruption issue, how might I attempt to correct that? Where are those stored? Would I lose all my music database info?

Is the only probable solution to blow up my entire install and start from scratch?

A last note. The skin at 90% size and the font at 11, and the font size does not revert to 12 after a program restart. Weird. At least the font is at my preferred size now (though the skin is smaller than I'd prefer), I just don't get why this is occurring.
-
No matter what size I set I only have size 12 font
I too will have to do a new instal but I dont want to loose all my settings.
Where to from here???
-
I cant fix this issue even if I revert back t0 63
What version did these changes start
