For the first time since ages I got an auto update when I started MC.
I was ask if I wanted to install a new MP3 Encoder version 2.0.58. I did, but when I started MC again I have still the old version, 2.0.55"
After installed .266 I have version 2.0.57 :-/

We can't reproduce it. Does it matter what column, what view, or what library? Can anyone else reproduce it?
Thanks.

Bugs:
1. AW right-click menu (with Show As Window on it) does not show up if a changeable field has the focus...even if you right-click somewhere in the title area (where 'Tag Info' shows, for example).
2. The Windowed-mode AW has a 'funky' system right-click menu that adds a separator bar for each time you change AW's windowed/docked mode...see:
(http://home1.gte.net/res0khi1/images/mc91266_aw_system_menu_bug.gif)

And my iPod (gen 3) is still crashing while trying to sync the data in the ipod with MC9. BTW, I am right click on I:, my iPod and select Synchronize or Import Data into MC.

Hi
7. Fixed: Album thumbnail tooltip uses album artist instead of the artist of the first track.
Thanks for the quick fix Matt, nice :)
-Confirmed ZRocker's "funky" right-click behaviour on AW standalone window.

It wasn't reported as a fix, but I believe this version also now works with Canon cameras that were a problem until recently. (Matt bought a Canon, so we fixed the bug.)

Rolling back to .259 :(
.266 crashed for me on each attempted Sync as well as Initialize...
.259 quite stable for me

I have the same thing. MC asked if I wanted to download 2.0.58, and I did. After install it says that I still have 2.0.55, but it won't let me download it again.

Importing the XML created using 'Library Export' to Access does not work.
The result is a single table called 'Item', and a single database element in the table called 'Field'.
The imported data in 'Field' is the contents of the last element of the MPL XML definition for 'Item'.
Any thoughts on why this occurs? I have imported other XML streams to access without a problem.

We can't reproduce it. Does it matter what column, what view, or what library? Can anyone else reproduce it?
Thanks.
Problem solved. I was using an outdated skin. When I swithed back to PixOs I was able to change to the columns shown. My apologies, I should have thought of that before.
I thought it was solved...I was able to add a column once then it started crashing. It doesn't seem to matter what column is added. I have tried several.
It crashes when Detail or Automatic are the selected views.
Also I tried restoring older libraries that I had backed up and it still crashed.
I tried all of the skins too with the same results.

The Action Window still defaults to it's "home" page rather than to the most recent page used -- in other words, I can no longer get the AW to come up by default on the "detailed tag info" page. From my reading on this forum, most people have a preferred AW page that they use the vast majority of the time (like tag info), meaning that they would benefit from the way MC used to work where the AW would start up on a page of your choice.
Why was this changed?
Thanks,
Larry

When editing via "Tag Info" in the Action window, the editable status of the "Filename" field is not tracked correctly between single files or multiple file selections. It seems the read-only status is not being released correctly after multiple files were selected.
To trigger the issue, if I change "Fields to view" while a single file is selected I can edit the filename. If I deselect the file so that the action window is tracking all files, the Filename is not editable. If I then select a single file again - "Filename" is still uneditable.
Additionally, "Filename (Path)" and "Filename (Name)" are both editable in all cases - even though they seem to be calculated fields based on (I guess) "Filename". This is potentially confusing I'd have thought. Should a calculated field be editable even if what it is calculated from is not?

Streaming Media: I am building a radio playlist here. Once I have successfully connected to a stream source, I import it to the library and add it to this playlist, along with logos ripped from the respective websites for "coverart". For testing I used these adresses: webradio.m3u (http://foc.no-ip.com/files/webradio.m3u)
If a stream is playing, and I double click another entry on the list to change stations, MC gets very upset. Problems range from crashing to doing nothing to filling the buffer, playing it, then pausing while the buffer refills etc. etc. Playback of one streaming source must be stopped before starting another.
The bottom entries in this list are being detected as .wma streams, categorised as audio, and when playing, viz'ns work just fine. The .ram links on the other hand are being categorised as video, hence no viz'ns. I have updated the library giving these sources "audio" status, but still no viz'ns.
With ASIO enabled, all these sources play just fine, except for the last one, which after buffering has finished, immediately causes MC to crash leaving the buffer playing over and over. Only a reboot will clear this state.
Shell Integration is still broken. None of the available context menu options will "send to playing now (replace)" when files are right-clicked in explorer.
========================================================================
<snip>
Additionally, "Filename (Path)" and "Filename (Name)" are both editable in all cases -
<snip>
I noticed that too and thought to myself "neat touch" and edited those fields to shift some files to new locations (different drives) and it seemed to work as expected. I won't use it again though as somewhere along the line it began overwriting existing files that were completely different in every aspect.

With the 3D visualization plugin enabled, moving the cursor to the bottom of the Playing Now area, DOES NOT bring up the tool bar. Also the drop down menu selections are not highlited.
Switching to the old visualization plugin resolves the problem.

Any chance you can add in ZOne Manager as a button available on the toolbars.
Even better if you could have a seperate button for each Zone added to the bar.
Hoping

I'm having the same problem. Similarly, when selecting the "Play" icon from the Web Media interface, it only plays what's in the playlist and not the station selected. If there is nothing in the playlist the "Please Select Files to play" message pops up. It kills the Remote Server capability when this happens too due to the error message.

When clicking on Playing Now in the action window, the currently playing song is not shown but the song below.
You have to scroll up to see the currently playing song
