Title: Can't play DVD disc (opening VIDEO_TS.IFO works)
Post by: Johnny B on April 02, 2015, 05:25:35 am
If I try to play DVD disc (Drives & Devices -> DVD drive -> Play) I get error message "The track named "DISCNAME" cannot be played because the volume labeled "DISCNAME" was not found."
However If I try via File -> Open Media File -> VIDEO_TS.IFO, playback starts just fine.

All. In fact as far as I remember I never was able to play any DVD disc in MC ever.

It seems the very same behaviour was reported in past by another user:

Blu-ray discs play just fine, only DVDs don't.
Happens on multiple PCs.

I don't know of a general problem playing DVD's.  What OS are you using?

Windows 7 SP1
Other players (PowerDVD, TotalMedia Theatre, WinDVD) play them just fine but MC only via File -> Open Media File -> VIDEO_TS.IFO
