Title: Using Nero 6 on the "Send To" Menu
Post by: PsychShack on October 02, 2003, 03:32:15 pm
I do prefer to use Nero 6 over MC to burn audio CDs....  Does anyone know if there is a way to add Nero (using command line switches) to the MC Send To menu, so that if I send an album, etc., to Nero, it will automatically add the files to the new CD window?  Thanks!

Yes, there is, one I've had for quite some time....

Using Replay Gain, and even with it set to optimize for the current playlist, my burned audio CDs tend to come out somewhat-quiet compared to other audio CDs.  I am usually happier using Nero's normalize function.

you should uncheck the option

[_] Apply cross-fade and DSP effects to the CD under burning. and it should come out the same as it does with Nero.

One thing I really like about Nero is the "copy disc" option that makes copying a disc much easier since it eliminates having to create an image, then burn the CD, then delete the image.  It also preserves the original pause length between tracks without having to set this as an option.  Basically, it fully automates the process of making a duplicate.

That would completely get rid of normalization.  Nero does Normalize the files (I use it when creating a mix, not burning a straight album).

Look in your nero install folder for the file nerocmd.exe.

This is where MC's "send to (external)" should point to.

Here is a text file listing the available commandline switches and parameters.

nerocmd.txt (http://foc.no-ip.com/files/nerocmd.txt)

I don't see any <normalise> command, but that doesn't mean it's not there ;) ::)
