Title: Different audio outputs at the same time?
Post by: laerm on April 07, 2015, 09:16:16 am
Hi all –

I think I am asking how to do something impossible, but maybe there's a feature (Zones?) I am not understanding correctly.

My audio device has multiple outs. I use the main two for my speakers and a second pair for my headphones. Currently I have the internal routing of the audio device configured so that the headphones are mirroring the speakers, but I can change them to be a separate pair. I have two questions:

1. Is it possible to send audio to two separate pairs of outputs at once?
2. Is it possible to have JR use a separate stream of DSP plugins for the second pair of outputs? (I.e. room correction in 1 + 2, headphones in 3 + 4)

Thanks –
Micah

1. I think so. Create one zone for each pair of outputs and then link the zones.
2. Yes, each zone has its own DSP chain.

Exactly as you describe works! Thanks.

There's a bit of a pause in seeking, but I assume it's got to sync the playback streams or something.
