Just a quick FYI to beware of youtube. I in no way am posting a bug or blaming MC. early evening on thurs the 9th i downloaded something from youtube and all heck broke out. I agreed to the download the typical way with MC and that's when it went arye, MC just continued to ask to download more vids after the initial download, no matter what i did it would not stop so i just hit the kill pc button...it took over a hour to get rid of the ad-ware that was downloaded. I'm pretty sure i got it all except windows task manager reports on boot something called Form 1 but i can't be sure that it was not there before and a bing search don't have much to say on it....

That seriously sux.
I'm not a big user of Utube direct but I'll keep this in mind for the future.
Do you think if you'd worked via your standard browser with sound by JRiver via WDM that you would have had the same result?

NO. because I browsed youtube with my browser to find the video first, I actually downloaded the video file with MC to save on my pc...

I download videos from YouTube in MC all the time - often several a day. No malware here.
Something else is the cause of this.

NO. It was very specific to youtube, I also download many videos, so maybe just maybe it was that video.

I don't see how you would possibly get malware from YouTube. Or how that is a Media Center problem.
