Title: Plextor DVD +/- R/RW   w/8X

I wanted to know if anyone has experienced any problems with the new Plextor 8X DVD R/RW drive?

I just bought one but haven't opened it yet. I have heard mostly good things about this drive.

Anyway, I love the idea of 4 GIG's of my music on one disk. I just wish I could play DVD R/RW's in my car using MP3.

Also, I wanted to know other people's experience with burning DVDs in MC9 - in general.

Has anyone recorded a TV show to a DVD using the tuner?
Has anyone recorded a movie, or something, to a DVD and played it on a set top?

I cannot help with your particular DVD drive, although I have the 504A ... but I haven't yet written to a DVD.

Regarding recording TV, you may want to look at the threads:

If your talking about the 708, please let us know how it works, I am going to order this today...
