Title: DSD256: Maximum file size for MEMORY PLAYBACK?
Post by: Bigguy49 on April 16, 2015, 02:37:53 pm
Thought I read somewhere on INTERACT forum that maximum file size for MEMORY PLAYBACK had increased from 256 MB to 1 GB.

What happens with MEMORY PLAYBACK if file size exceeds 1 GB?

Looks like DSD256 files may, more often than not, be larger than 1 GB.

I have no issue currently with playback of DSD128 with JRMC20 and Mytek DAC.

Do I need to configure MC in any special way to process DSD256?

Thanks.

No.

If you play something that takes a little more memory than you have it'll just play out and then refill.

Thanks, Matt.

Re "more memory than you have", what memory is it that you are referring to and is there any way to determine how much I DO have?
