Is there some setting I'm missing? Installed JRiver on Rasberry Pi 2 (Noobs software) and it won't import any M4a files.
I followed the instructions here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=95578.0
Everything works great....just no M4a (which are about 10,000 of my 15,000 files!)
-
Just a follow up -- the files play fine using VLC on the Pi.
-
Did you setup auto-import? And did you specify it imports .m4a (ALAC Audio) files?
-
Thanks.
Yes, I did. All the boxes are checked in the auto-imports formats -- including ALAC.
It's driving me crazy....I have everything working on the Pi...just can't read the format all my files are in!
-
You could convert a few to FLAC or another lossless codec.
-
That's what I'm doing....converting all 10,000 files to FLAC, since that works fine.
Still, it's odd.
-
Just checked it.
ALAC is broken on MC Linux arm.
-
Well there you go.
Thanks for following up!
-
Can anyone confirm if ALAC playback is now fixed on MC Linux arm?
-
I'll reply to myself here, I'm sharing a library full of M4As from my PC to PI and they all play fine.

Are any of them ALAC?
-
Almost all of them. The only thing I see that is different is that I am sharing a library vs. directly importing them.
