Title: Samsung Galaxy devices playlist issues
Post by: zxsix on April 17, 2015, 05:18:55 pm
Syncing smartlists to Samsung Galaxy smartphone still is failing to populate the playlists on the phone.
It shows the names of the playlists on the phone but there are no songs in the playlists.
Duped on 3 different S4 devices and a new S6 I purchased today.
I used the remove and detect all devices to clear settings in JRiver and start over adding the devices back in again.
Still same problem with the playlists.

If memory serves me right I encountered the same problem when I tried syncing music to my galaxy note 10.1 using usb cable.

Now I do the following (I am on pc btw, don't know if it works on mac):
1) Setup a folder on my pc as a handheld device and sync what I need to this folder. I use m3u8 playlists (not sure if it matters)
2) Use android app "syncme wireless" to sync contents of that folder to my tablet

It works and it's wireless

More info...
Playlists are populated correctly with build 20.0.73.
Playlists are empty with build 20.0.91.
Somewhere in between those builds, it's been broken.
