Title: picture slideshow + audio over DLNA
Post by: SleepyDeux on April 18, 2015, 08:00:41 am
Is it possible to stream both audio and a picture slideshow from MC20.0.93 to the same DLNA target (Xbox 360)?  I've tried both with the Windows client (Win 8.1 Pro x64 with Windows Media Center) and the web player, and can only seem to get one stream playing at a time.

In the past I used WMC for slideshows with a music playlist in the background, but started encountering library issues when I moved from WMC on the host to WMC over extender, so I was investigating using MC20 for the image+music scenario.

Am I overlooking a Media Network setting or encountering a DLNA limitation (ie. expected behavior)?

TIA!

No you cannot do this.

It is not specifically an MC issue but simply that the UPnP specifications make no provision for such a use case...

Thanks!  I hoped the answer wouldn't be "not possible" but at least I can stop wondering what I've done wrong   :)
