Title: integrating JRemote on iPhone and MC on a Mac

I am just getting started using JRiver on a dedicated Mac (connected to a hard drive on which a large library of DSD music files are stored). Nothing is working too satisfactorily just yet but I have a preliminary question before I start tweaking/replacing components in my setup: 
Does JRemote (on the iPhone) remotely communicate with the Mac (on which the MC is installed) to control the files on the hard drive? If so, does it wirelessly connect with the computer via Bluetooth, directly via the computer's wifi, or over the household's wifi network?

Welcome to the forum.

JRemote talks to MC via any network connection, but not by Bluetooth.
