I just had a runaway TV recording as well just yesterday.  Went for over 24 hours before I saw it on the MC server. Nice update.

Was it for an unattended recording or some human interaction involved?  Was there a client playing TV?  Did the recording itself grow to 24 hours long?  Was multiple recordings involved?

It was an older MC19 client connected to the latest MC20 Server where I kicked off a watching a Live TV channel (believe it or not on my treadmill).  I then (thought) I stopped it on the client but found today it was still buffering the stream on the server.  It was about 12GB of JTV time shifting files but was only from the last XX hours (not from the time I would have started watching it).  I could not delete it or stop it from the MC Server instance but had to stop MC and MC Server, then restart MC at which point I could delete it.

At least it did not take up 50 GB or more of your disk space.

My last update will help in this situation.  The server will stop buffering after an hour of inactivity.

I watch TV on an MC client on a stationary bike ;)

I find watching "The Walking Dead" keeps you motivated!
