Title: Weird buffering issue with radio
Post by: TheGreatBiguini on April 29, 2015, 07:33:34 am
Folks,

My wife seems to have hit on some kind of bug w regard to playing radio stations from playlists - I know this is gonna sound pretty strange, but bear with me. :) Specifically with WINS 1010 in NY, she says that if she streams the station (we are at release 20.0.99 on Windows 7) and stops at a certain time, say at 8:00 AM on the 21st, then if she re-starts the next morning, it will start playing from the date and time she stopped it, as indicated by the announcer periodically saying what day and time it is. I have found what appear to be buffer files in the JRiver temp directory, so it does appear that buffer files are being written to disk. Any ideas how to fix this? Should I delete those files every day or so, or just run a process to re-start JRiver during each night? Note that I do have JRiver set to play from RAM rather than disk, but perhaps this does not apply to streaming radio?

TIA!

Maybe she is using the pause button, not the stop button.

Jim,

Good point. I am overseas at the minute, will look over her shoulder when I arrive back home and try to see what's going on.

This is a great feature!

Can you pause Internet Radio ?
