Having installed JR MC20 on above system I started to convert my music files from MP3 to FLAC...which was fine  up until I reached N in in my very large collection, there after it went through the conversion process but in the status bar it read failed....bit perplexed as to why this should be .....any Ideas anybody?

Is there any particular reason you're converting MP3 to FLAC? MP3 is a lossy format whereas FLAC is a lossless format - you don't gain anything by converting MP3 to FLAC.
