Using 20.0.103
Installed a new USB to SPDIF converter Beresford Asynch-1 on Win 7 x64. I believe it uses C-Media CM6610A chipset. Driver is 7.0.11.80 dated 07/13/2012.
I get:
"Playback could not be started on output WASAPI using the format 44.1kHz 2ch. the output format may not be supported by your hardware...."
In the advanced sound properties I do not see check boxes for 44.1khz, 48khz, 96khz, etc.
Works in Direct Sound mode, also works with WASAPI in 2 other players I have tried.
when i try ASIO all I get is Buffering....

Hi
Not following, sorry :) Could you describe your signal path plz ... I'm guessing that you are going from a Windows PC to this converter .. after that I don't know ... an External Dac I suppose, or maybe you are using a DLNA renderer after that
This device is just allowing you convert a USB output to an optical one, like an extension cord. it is a digital output (following your link) ... its the DAC, digital to audio configuration that's important when you get this kind of message.
Anything I suggest would just be a guess without a bit more info

DAC is Beresford Caiman II
