I am trying equalizer-APO and according to e-APO, I have to use direct sound in jriver for it to work. Not sure if it is okay to have ALL source shown on my avr as having 7.1 input whether it is stereo, dd5.1/dts5.1 or TrueHD7.1/dtsHD7.1 source? I have a 7.1 system used 100% for movies and it was working properly as far as the correct input from source showing when set jriver for wasabi (which I cannot if I want to use e-APO). If I configure my sound card in window for 5.1, and use direct sound in jriver, then jriver got an error and could not play a dtsHD7.1 source. If I configure it to 7.1 for my sound card in window, it will work but everything I play shown as 7.1 input source on my avr eventhough they are not. Anyone here using e-APO please help me understand all of this. Is there a setting in jriver I missed? Thanks.

well I guess the 1st question is why you're using e-apo with jriver when jriver dsp covers the same ground?

I am using REW to measure my FR and according to this http://sourceforge.net/p/equalizerapo/discussion/general/thread/3ba39cad
I can measure and set my target curve and REW will generate filters for e-apo. According to one guy, he said the e-apo result he got is very close to that of Dirac live that he is having a trial period with. Can jriver do something similar to that?
