Title: Defaults for Visualizations...
Post by: kiwi on September 24, 2003, 03:58:35 am
Hey,

I was wondering whether or not there was a way for the defaults for visualizations to automatically try DirectX and then fall back to standard.  Or to post a message the first time you view them that says something to the extent that changing the call method to directx may increase your performance noticably.

I didn't even know that he setting existed, until I started playing around and found it.

Perviously, I did not use any of the visualizations because they were so painfully slow.

Set the 'Playing Now' so that it is in visualization mode.  Then go into the Visualization Studio.  Then select "Tools"-->"Options"  you should have "Draw Method" as one of the pull down menus.  Select "Direct X" as on of the options.
