Title: Stupidly simple question: How to I specify rip to .wav file

I have used MediaMonkey to rip CDs to date. I would like to be using JRiver going forward (and maybe in same cases redoing). I want to rip to .wav file. How top I specify this file type?

tools, options, then click on encoding.

Is WAVPACK the same thing as ripping to .wav?

This begs the question of why you'd want to rip to WAV in the first place.  There are no practical advantages of WAV over FLAC.  On the other hand, FLAC has several advantages over WAV:

1.  FLAC is roughly 60% the size of WAV with NO LESS DATA.  They hold the same audio data with no losssy compression.
2.  FLAC can hold metadata inside the files.  Tags like Album, Artist, Song Name, etc.  WAV has no standard way of doing this and anything you save inside one might not transfer to other programs.  FLAC metadata will transfer to any other program.

I don't know about OP, but I can't play FLAC on my car stereo but WAV will play.
