Title: Tuner card in error causing other tuners not to work
Post by: Daveyravey on May 23, 2015, 02:00:27 am
Yaobing

Had an issue last night whilst recording one programme and watching another an error popped up regarding an error in no stream available or something like that. I then came out of theaterview and had a look at the tuner status. One of my tuners said 'error' no other details just that. I then tried to use a different tuner and it said ' no tuners available to satisfy recording' Almost as if if one tuner goes into error the rest wont play ball.
Not sure what caused it to go into error in the first place but it may be worth looking at how this affects other tuners if one goes into error.

I fixed this by closing Jriver20.exe down including Media Server and re opening and all was playing nicely.

I am using 2 dual tuners one DVB-T and one DVB-S2 both DVB-SKY type

This hasn't happened for a while but did you manage to replicate this Yaobing?

No I have not been able to reproduce this.

I am using latest build on the main page and am still having problems sometimes MC doesn't see the tuners.

Look at the screen dumps I have attached to this link.

http://www.filetolink.com/7d8137208e

capture - shows no tuner cards available
capture 1 - shows when I try to play a channel no television tuner is available but they are all there
capture 3 - shows the devices available in device manager.

The only way I can get MC to see the tuners again is to close Media Server and reopen

All works then and MC sees the tuners

Any thoughts?

I have a log attached just in case

thanks

I wish I had checked my email first.  Then I would not have given up my gmail info to the file hosting site  ;)

I will have to take a look at the log files and see if I can spot anything.  The screenshots do not help.

I still can not explain why you ended up with an empty tuner list.  The log shows a strangely large amount of time (nearly 2 minutes) it took MC to try getting a suitable tuner to play a channel.

We will  have to put this on the "watch list".  I added a little more logging in places that I thought might be relevant.

Hi Yaobing

As you mentioned in your reply to my issue you have added more logging. I have been running MediaCenter200115 since the issue and haven't had the tuner issues with that build. Something seems to have changed since version 115

Just upgraded to latest build 200131 and immediately when waking from sleep says no tuners are available

I have emailed a log for your investigation
