Title: Bug Report: DSD bitstreaming failure under certain conditions
Post by: Toytronic on May 24, 2015, 05:26:53 am
Hi there,

Ok, this one has given me hard times to find out the cause of the problem.

Platform is Windows 7 32bit, software version 20.0.108, and the DAC is a SMSL M8

Symptom: When you try to bitstream an ISO SACD to your dac in native DSD format, using DSD over PCM (DOP), the software send a loud white noise signal at high volume.

Cause:: This only occur when you have activated the "Increase Volume of DSD to PCM by +6dB" option under "Configure Input Plugin/DSD Input plugin", which can be the case if you didn't own a DSD dac before (like me).

Hope this will help other members of this community.

Cheers!
