What the heck is this?
JRiver Media Center $3.99
Category> Music & Video> Video
Publisher: RAMESH NAGALLA
JRiver Support resolves to rameshcrec@hotmail.com
Every app this guy has listed appear to be someone else's product!

I'm on a Mac so I can't look, but... That kind of fraud is pretty rampant on the Windows Store, unfortunately. Its a game of whack-a-mole, and Microsoft is kind-of bad about removing them (because that hurts the all-important we have x-thousands apps in our store stat). They've been doing better lately. Make sure to report it, if you can.
By the way, this is one of the biggest reasons Apple charges $100 per year to get into their store, so at least, they have to make $100 before they get caught to make it worthwhile, and there is a little barrier-to-entry (you have to have a unique credit card and other stuff each time you do it).
It doesn't stop all the fraud, but a little of it anyway.

Actually, you can search it from the web. Yep. Pretty brazen. The guy also has Tomb Raider and Zoom Player (among about 1000 other fake apps) all for $3.99. His posting even has screenshots of MC.
I bet it installs adware if you actually buy it too.
Here's an article from a while back about the thing:
http://www.howtogeek.com/194993/the-windows-store-is-a-cesspool-of-scams-why-doesnt-microsoft-care/
As mentioned in that article, Microsoft "pledged" to do better back last August, and they did for a bit, but I'd heard it was backsliding again. From what I can see of this guy's apps, at least, it seems to be true.
Report them. But, there's nothing you can do. Microsoft needs to clean up their act.

Just in case it's not painfully obvious, "RAMESH NAGALLA" is not a licensed reseller of MC.
We've never heard of him. Any transaction with him is a fraud.

Also shown in the UK Windows Store.

What can JRiver do to shut this down.

@Matt - I believe you can file takedown request here https://support.microsoft.com/getsupport/hostpage.aspx?locale=EN-US&ln=EN-US&oaspworkflow=start_1.0.0.0&wfname=RAVCI&wf=0

I've notified Microsoft through the Store. Let's see what they'll do about it. And yeah it's also listed in the Dutch store.
-
Thank you.

Ok I've received an e-mail from Microsoft regarding my notification. They basically ask me to fill out this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/getsupport?locale=EN-US&oaspworkflow=start_1.0.0.0&wfname=RAVCI&wf=0&ccsid=635702483965679736 one.
Since I am not a member of JRiver Inc. I can't fill it out for you.

It's sad that Microsoft doesn't do a better job.
-
Received response today that app and account are being taken down.
-
Still appears in the Windows Store..... Microsft doesn't move too quickly to
resolve these issues.....Must be too busy with Windows 10
-
Was still in the store this morning, now it's gone. Seems problem is solved :)

It's the nature of the beast. Either have a "walled garden" like Apple where you can only buy what meets their criteria or you have open platform where you risk a$$hats like this trying to defraud.
Disclaimer: I work for the big M (but not technical or software).

They do have a walled garden in the Windows Store.
They're just bad at policing it. Probably pretty much on purpose, to "juke the stats".
