Title: Unable to combine two albums into one

See attachment. The two albums have identical artists and album title but unable to combine into one.
Tried many times to rename the artist and album title but unsuccessful.
Any suggestion

Your screen shot is WAY too small to make out the details, so I can't tell you exactly what to do.  But I understand the problem.  Here's how I would fix it:

1.  Highlight all of the files from both albums at once.
2.  Activate the Tagging Pane.  One way is to right click and select Tag.
3.  Go to the Artist field and see if it has a single value there, or if it says "Varies".  If it says Varies, that means there are several values there.  You can click the drop down list and select the one you want, or type in your own.
4.  Do the same thing for Album, looking for a unique value, or Varies. 

I suspect that you have a subtle difference in either the Artist or the Album.  Something as simple as a space before or after a name can do it.

If you can't get it fixed with this method, post a bigger screen shot please.  :)

I would bet that the [Album Artist] tag is actually the culprit here.  You can have the same [Artist] and [Album], but it still won't group if the [Album Artist] tag has different values in it.  Often [Album Artist] is blank, so [Album Artist (auto)] fills with whatever is in [Artist], but sometimes when files are ripped or tagged outside of MC they'll wind up with inconsistent [Album Artist] tags which nerfs the autodetection.  So OP, if your files all actually have the the same values in [Artist] and [Album], check the [Album Artist] tag.

Also the [Date] tag can sometimes split albums if there are different years assigned (depending on the view).

Are you ripping with DBPoweramp?  If so, try ripping with MC.

Select all the files and edit the Album Artist tag.  Your screenshot doesn't show that tag.  Right click on the labels to add Album Artist to the view.

As Jim has described earlier. Add Album Artist to the Tag options, that should clear things up :)

This is also very useful if you have a compilation album. Music by different artists. If you don't set the Album Artist then all the songs get split and sorted by the artists from the artist tag. Album artist overrules that tag.

I'm trialling JRiver, and have just gone well beyond my knowledge - ripping non Commercial CDs (but professionally edited and produced. Its a 2 CD set of a concert I took part in.  (So not in any database).  I'd ripped it and edited the metadata but could not get the 2 CD Albums to appear as one.  Post - reply #1 above provided the solution - thanks!
