Title: Adding Cover Art Remotely
Post by: MikeO on June 19, 2015, 05:25:56 am
I understand that I cannot add cover art remotely

I normally manage all my file transfers , tag updates etc. from my main computer to the HTPC over my network.

What makes updating cover art not feasible , is it a technical issue or simply that no one has requested it yet?

Mike

I assume what you mean is the computer where you are working is a client of the remote server that holds the library?

If so, the remote cover art thing is a known issue and has been requested many times.  There's been no official answer as to why it's not allowed, except that it's a limitation of the current MC client/server system, which is not going to be changed, therefore it's a technical issue.  Other limitations of cleint/server are that importing cannot be done on a client, and ripping CDs cannot be done on a client - you will find these options are greyed out.
