Title: Strange Mouse problem caused by JR??
Post by: daveg on June 26, 2015, 06:57:38 am
Using latest build.
A few days ago, I tried to copy some files and I think JRiver messed up my mouse.
Let me explain my steps.

1. Open up all audio (about 30,000 tracks)
2. I use Cntl/Right click to highlight a bunch of tracks.. Probably 100 or so.
3. Copy them and paste into windows explorer folder.
4. At this point my mouse gets messed up. Now everytime I click on a file in JR (NOT cntl/Right click) it will highlight it, and the others stay highlighted.  If I leave JRiver and go to my browser, when I use the mouse wheel, it will zoom the page instead of scrolling up/down....plus lots of other strange behaviour

This is %100 repeatable... I have to go to mouse settings and change the setting there to get it back to normal. Sometimes even this does not work and I have to restart my PC.

Seems like the copy function is what causes the problem.
Using Win8.1
Files are all on local drive

Hope I explained this clearly.

While the files are still copying, MC's interface doesn't work right anymore (and should be, or was previously, frozen while in this state).  Is the copy dialog box still up?  Maybe behind MC's window?

I'll try it later today.

Thanks

No, dialog box never comes up..

I can understand if the copy function does not work...but find it really odd that it will mess with my mouse...to the point where I sometimes have to reboot.

It sounds like the control key is getting stuck down.

Every month or two I have to turn my keyboard over and shake it out.

Ha....perhaps the "copy" gremlin is pulling  down my cntl key while I am not looking :-[ :-[

Don't think that is the case though.

Not saying this is a JRiver problem, but the only time this ever happens to me is when I try to copy files from a JRiver window.
