Title: Songs with accented characters in the metadata re-sync every time
Post by: petegas on June 30, 2015, 12:47:45 am: For the longest time I couldn't figure out why certain artists and albums always re-synced to the pono-player even though they haven't changed and I finally spotted it - every one has some accented character either in artist, album, or song name (may affect other fields as well.) Please fix, it makes the sync process so much slower, especially with all the Café del Mar I've got on there!

Post by: adamt on July 01, 2015, 11:38:41 am: Thanks for the info! Getting closer, though I still can't reproduce it. I believe the issue comes between the two subtly different 'ö' characters. There is one type of 'ö' in the filename and another in the artist name and they're not being interpreted as the same. Would you mind backing up your library and sending the zip as well as sending one of the files that isn't working? Maybe the Hyperballad one. Thanks!
