Is there a particular reason why JRiver uses (Multiple Artists) instead of a more standard Various Artists commonly used for compilation albums?
Reading the Wiki to see if I can change it you always refer to Various Artists and not Multiple Artists :)
I'd love to have the option to change it to Various Artists in a setting somewhere. Is this possible? I know I can proactively change it AFTER under a replace or in the library tools but this is a pain...
It also is problematic when saving cover art as it will create a duplicate (Multiple Artist) - Album.jpg if Various Artists - Album.jpg is present...

I assumed it was done so that it appears at the top of the list, rather than 'V' when sorting - and I prefer that.
I don't know that there is a preference for it though.

Sorry, but there's no way to change it.
You could specify an Album Artist for the files in question if you want something else.

Thx for the answer Matt.

I would like to be able to customise this because now when I enter Various in the Album Artist Tag, JRiver will get confused and not recognise the existing folder art file and will create an extra jpg file.
For example If I have Various - Vintage France (Putumayo Presents).jpg that I created with a JRiver at home in a folder then opening the same folder in another JRiver library (at office) it will create the following file:
(Multiple Artists) - Vintage France (Putumayo Presents).jpg (Which is a duplicate of the already present file in that folder...
THX!

Never mind my bad...I didn't have various specified correctly in Album Artist. But yes having the ability to customise this would be nice :-\....
