Title: Can Not Input Japanese 2-Byte Characters in tags and Search Fields.
Post by: andyKT on July 12, 2015, 08:32:18 am
One Japanese user is asking me to report this problem.

He has difficulty in typing in Japanese 2-Byte characters in both  tags and Search Fields. Please, take a look at the screen shot sent to me at the bottom.
When typing in Japanese characters, one Japanese keyboard unique key called "half/full" is pressed to switch alphanumeric to Japanese characters.
Currently if this key is pressed while using MC20 (Linux), a 2-Byte "J" character appears on the screen, but the system does not switch to Japanese character mode.
The user has not been able to use Japanese names for artists, songs and so on in tagging,  and not been able to search by using Japanese characters.
However, Japanese songs purchased with tags in Japanese are shown properly.

Please, apply fix soon.

Thanks.

I believe this is the same problem just fixed in the Mac version.  The fix is more of a work-round.

I see.  So can we expect the problem in Linux is fixed soon right?  (please, don't take this as a pressure)

Thanks.

Yes, I was in the thread.
I tried build 126 for Mac and found the tool works very well.
Thanks a lot.
