I have just registered for MC21.
I looked for a thread for feature requests but couldn't see one, so am posting here.
Please could we have paste tagging for the Mac version?
Thanks.

Paste tagging? Do you mean Tag Pasting? Like grabbing the tags from an entire album and pasting those on top of another album?
I've seen Ted do this in his screencast series on JRiver and I thought it was in the Mac version. But I just tried it and, it pulls up a Paste Tags dialog, but it doesn't work! Or I'm doing it wrong.
Maybe moving this to a topic with a more descriptive name would get it more attention. I see there was a thread about this a few years ago, but it seems like it never got implemented.

It's in the video but it doesn't work on the Mac version. I've requested this a couple of times before. Nothing from the JR team so far.

You might be better served by starting a new thread about this. Or if you have an existing thread (with a descriptive title) that would be good to post in again. I normally would suggest you post in the thread I linked to just above, because it's exactly about the lack-of-feature/bug you're asking about. But it's so old it's from the MC19 for mac forum, so I don't know if anyone would see it.
Is your old thread in this forum (MC20 for mac)? If so, post to it again. :)

Paste Tagging works great in the Mac version. Maybe start a thread to troubleshoot if you can't get it working.

As I reported earlier, I couldn't get it to work despite the dialog box appearing. But you said it works so I tried again.
It seems there's this tiny little check box in the lower left corner labeled: "Allow Overwrite Of Existing Values". If that's not checked, it won't update any field that's already filled in. All of my music is tagged already, so I was testing on music that needed to be overwritten.
Checking that box makes it work exactly as advertised!
To the OP: do you get the "Paste Tags" dialog box when you select "Paste Tags..." from the edit menu?

Hi,
I have 3 major requests I'd really love to see for MC21 :
- Full integration with Linn DS streamers (open home I presume, so that playlist stack is fully functional with kazoo)
- Qobuz integration
- Real OS X look and feel interface
Best regards

I would like to have:
Tidal and Spotify services

Tidal won't be added (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=96774.msg667641#msg667641).

Aha! I see it is now working. It's been a while since I tried it and I'd been using Cmd + C and Cmd +V rather than the paste tag command in the edit menu. Anyway, good news. I can now update my 17 versions of the Four Seasons!

I would like to have:
Spotify services
JRiver cannot implement Spotify support, without the blessing of Spotify itself, which has not been forthcoming.
Discussed here:

It is possible for an end-user to create a Spotify plugin for MC (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=98108.msg678463#msg678463) using libspotify, which would be very nice for users of that service, but no one has stepped up, and JRiver, themselves, cannot.

It would be nice to have a setting that allows constant volume output for songs individually selected.
For example, there is a noticeable volume level difference when playing a song recorded in the 1960s and then manually choosing (versus using a playlist) a song recorded recently. This is true even if volume leveling and R128 analysis has been selected/done.

I request an option for video de-interlacing in the Mac version. I have recently finished ripping all of my CDs and have moved on to DVDs. Some of these look terrible due to interlacing artifacts. At some point, I may reprocess these offline to remove the artifacts. However, de-interlacing is a feature that seems to work in Windows, it would be nice to see it in the Mac version as well. Until then, I'll probably use VLC to view these videos as the Yadif 2x de-interlacing seems to work pretty well there.
-
My only requests are:
- Allowing me to set the target gain for volume leveling, a simple slider defaulting to the standard will do.
- Better and more predictable handling of the keyboard media keys, perhaps a separate light DLNA client-like process that is just always scanning them and forwarding the commands to the MC21 similar to JRemote. It should also prevent other apps from using them.

I request JRiver display all subtitles video.

for me, Spotify in MC21 would be a killerfeature! Don't understand the problem. I am using Sonos Play1 in kitchen, bathroom and garden. That are commercial products. Spotifiy is integrated in Sonos App very well. Please do it like them, ... Please!

You're begging the wrong company.
Sonos can do it because Spotify has given them permission (an API key). Attempts to get the same from Spotify for JRiver have gone unanswered. If you'd like to see this change, tell Spotify that you're a paying customer (assuming you are) and this is important to you.
