Title: Help please... Burton Conductor Virtuoso, OS X Yosemite, Media Center 20
Post by: Laconic on July 20, 2015, 12:55:13 pm
Please help me if you can.

I just purchased a Burson Conductor Virtuoso and connected it to my MacBook Pro running Yosemite via USB.

As instructed on The Burson website, I opened the OS X Utility "Audio MIDI Setup" and changed the output format to 192/24 bit.

iTunes plays fine.
Tidal streams fine.

JRiver Media Center 20 does not work.

I get the error message, "Something went wrong with playback. Details: Playback could not be started on the output Core Audio using the format 96Hz 2ch..."

I went back to the Audio MIDI setup and tried changing the output to 96/24.  (My files are 96/24 FLAC.) It did not help.

I have emailed to Burson, their short answer is that if iTunes works, it must be a setup issue with JRiver.  But, they said they are not familiar with JRiver...

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
