Title: Not releasing HDHomerun tuners
Post by: bds3151 on July 22, 2015, 12:29:46 pm
I have a Windows 8.1 laptop, HDhomerun prime tuners and the latest JRiver software. I can tune a channel, but when I attempt to change to another channel, the picture freezes and I get a machine gun sound. If I first push the stop button, the tuner releases and I can change to another channel. I don't have hardware acceleration on. Also, the "manage channels" page has the bottom of the page below the screen.

There was a bug that I just fixed.   Please try the following DLL:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/33u9zfi1pe5mgez/JRTelevision.zip?dl=0

Download it, unzip, and copy JRTelevision.dll into MC's installation folder.

Are you using a large font?  Font that is too large is usually the cause of problems like this.

Thanks for the fast response. Roger the "large font" use. I'll try the dll and let you know.

With the new dll, when I try to tune a channel, the program crashes.

Are you using 20.0.131?

I was on .124. Updated to .131 and installed the dll and I am able to change channels now. Thanks very much! One item I noticed is the sound doesn't mute between changes and stutters for a second or two. It picks up fine after that.
