Title: Another take on remotes - using MC for music, but MUCH more
Post by: avid on July 22, 2015, 04:18:52 pm
I have finally (after four versions and eleven years!) got around to making a public video (https://youtu.be/PSX-_iy29Pk (https://youtu.be/PSX-_iy29Pk)) showing off my HTPC system. This is totally remotely controlled by a browser app running on any touch device, and incorporates TV, satellite, music, Spotify, photos, streaming, etc, etc - all with a consistent look and feel. There are a number of separate players for different media types, taking a "best of breed" approach, while presenting the consistent user interface. MC is used for playing stored music and for viewing photos. Other players are used for live/recorded TV and for video/DVD.

The software is fully open sourced and still being actively worked on at https://github.com/brianavid/Avid4G.Net (https://github.com/brianavid/Avid4G.Net).

And MCWS has worked flawlessly in allowing me to build all these remote controlling versions. So thank you so much for that.
