Title: Downloading Mediacenter 9: Not Working
Post by: tripallen on September 19, 2003, 04:19:04 am
I had Mediacenter as a free download and have now bought Media 9. I downloaded it once and it did not work (had trouble w/initial download). SO, I uninstalled and have tried to download it using the registration code on the restore page on the web site. It does not install and sends the following msg: "windows cannot find  c/documents and settings/trip allen/local settings/temporary internet files/content/EJ/EQUHHT8I/media%20center 9..." What is happening? I am having a lot of problems with this program.
Also, what is "Your Installation Key, good for two weeks, is attached to this message. " What is the installation key? It appears as a lot of letters and garble attached to the mail...like this:
JRiver, Inc. Media Center 9
--begin-product-info--
Vendor:JRiver, Inc.
Product:Media Center
Version:9

Please help.
Thank you

Trip,
If you post your license, it will be revoked and we won't refund the purchase.

Install the latest version of 9.1 and then try using IE to restore your license.

Details are here:

I have no idea what IE is and the link you sent me is one I have seen before. It tells me nothing. Pls describe in detail with out unknown acronyms so I can get everything up and running.
Thank you
