Title: Audio dropouts when streaming 6-channel ISO SACD-R (or direct dsf) files
Post by: scottm_dj on July 24, 2015, 06:07:08 pm
Latest version of JRiver 20. Plain and simple problem: 6-channel WAV and FLAC is fine and even 2-ch SACD ISO works....but every time i try streaming 6-channel SACD ISO (or direct dsf) i get an annoying dropout every minute or so. I am sending to a state-of-the-art DLNA rendered Cambridge 752BD, which is Oppo 105 clone).  I've tried every option i can find in the program and since i know its using high CPU power, including upping PC memory to 8gigs--but no fix.    Anybody know what may be wrong?

Also, cue file support seems to be getting worse--not better.  i'd say 70% of the ones i try work.  Why does JRiver have such an issue handling the same cue file Foobar has no problem with?

Take a look at the sizes of the files.  This could just be a bandwidth limitation.

Can you connect the DAC directly (no network) to test?

What version of MC are you using?  20.0.131 is on the download page.
