Title: [MC21 Feature Request] Set Do Not Disturb on Playback
Post by: glynor on August 06, 2015, 10:19:02 pm
I don't know if this is possible. There might not be an API to do it, but it would be cool if you had:
Tools > Options > General > Behavior > Enable Do Not Disturb mode while Playback is active

This would hide many OSX "notifications" and disable many system sounds while playback is active, for things like Messages, Calendar appointments, and email. It wouldn't shut Outlook up, which uses the annoying Office Notifications system (that doesn't obey Do Not Disturb), but most Mac-native applications do obey it.

That would be a slick feature. I constantly forget to enable this while playing video in MC, and having a calendar or email pop-over notification (plus, maybe the ding if you don't turn it off like an animal) is annoying.
