Title: MC 20 Crashing when left Idle in TV mode
Post by: trevoraiston on August 08, 2015, 01:41:06 pm
Just turned TV screen off HYPC amd MC 20 still running. Turn TV on later and either a black screen which you have to ctrl alt del > task manager to get out of. Or a message on screen saying MC 20 stopped working.

Any suggestions

Try setting the video mode to Red October Standard, and the Audio to WASAPI Exclusive Mode. That has helped others recently.
I would advise turning on "Video Clock" in "Options/Video/General Video Settings" as well, as that can help with many issues.

Also there are many threads discussing video breakup, and a lot of different causes for it. Search the forum to find ideas about what your problem could be, if the above doesn't work.

I've just carried out a clean W7 reinstall and added a video card rather than using on board.

Fingers crossed jrmc seems a lot more stable but early days yet.  If problems reappear I'll try your suggestions.

Thanks
