Title: Update IM Status with what is currently playing in MC

Does anyone have a method by which one could update the status in IM (Trillian to be specific) with a currently playing track in MC?  I saw one post about doing it with something called Girder but am at a loss as to how that could be used for such a thing.  Trillian somehow hooks into a few apps like Winamp, ITunes and MediaMonkey to do this. I have a similar question posted on the Trillian forum to hopefully get some info as to how it gets the current playing track.
