Hi
my problem is that i can't turn on subtitles with movies; subtitles are separate file with either .sub or .srt extension. I've tried manually load them but no effect.
Any ideas to solve it?
i am using jrmc 20.0.61 on win 7.
thanks.

have you tried right clicking on the screen while the movie is playing and checking subtitles? .... look in streams too to see what choices you have (also from the right click menu).
Don't know how to do this without a mouse -- don't have a big video collection, sorry can't be more of a help
oh btw upgrade your version to the last one at the top of the board you should be running 20.0.132, your version is really old :)

Thanks for reaction.
I updated my mc and still the same; and also I've tried upload subs while watching (right click, browse, open) but no effect...
Any ideas?
thanks.

I think there used to be a rule about the subtitle file had to have the same name as the video file. Not sure if that still applies, but might be worth checking.

Yeah, subs have the same name but still nothing... :-[
anybody?

Ok. I only have a handful of movies with external subs and they all work here.
Example:
The Hostage (2005).avi
The Hostage (2005).srt
Also there is a few subtitle settings under Video in Option. Check those. There is a setting called subtitle mode, that might affect what is displayed.

OK, thank You all for replies. I got it.
I am using a special application which downloads subs automatically and I've changed some settings there, especially extension of subs to .srt. Then in mc appeared option to choose those subs with .srt extension (earlier there was .sub extension). Strange.
SOLVED.
