Title: Rip CD or Import CD from Nework CD player
Post by: tomtofield on September 01, 2015, 07:27:10 am
I would like to import an Audio CD.

The CD is in a network CD player.

The network CD player has been mapped on the computer with JRiver as Z:

1: Rip does not give me the option to choose Z:
2: Import folder does not find the music

Please help

Is that a drive you've shared on the network, or is a network CD player a special kind of CD player?

Thanks for your reply.

The CD Player is in my laptop on the same network as my miniPC. I have successfully networked mapped this drive from the miniPC.

The miniPC has JRiver installed.

We're not really sure how to tell a network path is a CD drive.  It'd be really painfully slow to enumerate every network path, and then there's the part about us checking the paths for it being a CD drive.  We're not sure how we'd do that.

Do you have ideas?

Idea: If the user could specify the CD-Drive letter in the RIP menu, would this work?
