Title: Ripping CD's causes an echo

When I rip a cd I am getting an echo or almost a doulbe not sound from any cd I use.  I uninstalled Media Ceter a re-installed but had no luck.  I am able to rip with Roxi's Audio Central just fine.  Any suggestions?
