Title: How do I rename 'there'?
Post by: focussed on September 20, 2016, 03:01:46 pm
Hi all, just a quick, and no doubt simple question to some of you...but it's driving me crazy!
I am controlling MC19 from a 2nd laptop with MC19 installed. All works well
However, within the 'playing now' section on the remote laptop, it shows:
'Overview'
'This laptop'
'There'
'Playing from media laptop'
(which can be expanded as shown):
'Main Library'
'Media Laptop'
(and of course)
'Add library'
All OK except for the 'there' which I think should be 'media laptop'
When I try to rename it by right clicking, MC crashes. Is 'there' the  normal naming convention, or have I set something up incorrectly?

I have now been able to rename 'there' by right clicking and selecting 'rename', but turning MCoff and back on results in 'there' reappearing.
Can anybody please help with this?
thanks

It's called There.  It may not be possible to change it.

Our HTPC connects to library server using a password.

In turn, the HTPC serves that library without a password, to the wife's iPhone and iPad...

This results in quite confusing entries such as, from memory, "There (There)", "Here (There)" and so on...

No big deal as it's been that way for as long as I remember, but being able to rename these more descriptively would be less scary for her.
