Title: How to get best possible sound from bd films?
Post by: torpadal on January 22, 2018, 01:30:16 pm
Hi,
I have MC v.19.0.163 on a win8.1 pc. I have now bought a new receiver, Yamaha rx-v781. How do I get the best sound on films? I have a bd player also attached to the reciever and when I play bd on that, the sound is much better than when playing the same film from the pc (copied with makemkv). Especially on films that has Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
When I play the film on the pc and choose 'Streams / surround 7.1 [eng] (truehd, 48000 Hz, 8 channels) [default]', the film just freezes. As long as I choose  'Streams / surround 5.1 [eng] (dts-hd ma 48000 Hz, 5.1, 1536 kb/s)', the film plays ok.
Is it possible to get the same sound quality as on the bd player?
