Title: Problem activating Master Licence in Linux Mint
Post by: Jodel on April 16, 2018, 06:23:58 am
I recently installed Linux Mint Cinnamon on a laptop and downloaded MC 23 to try on it.  I have been using the Windows versions of MC for several years on two separate W7 PCs and bought a Master Licence to allow me run the application across both the W7 and Linux platforms.

I upgraded to MC 23 for the W7 PCs and used the registration key to activate these machines.  The Windows installation was was no problem, but I find I am unable to activate my Linux copy of MC 23 - I have tried using the registration key and a pop-up window advises that the key is for a different product?

I understood that a Master Licence was to allow use on more than one OS?

I don't think I'm making any errors on the installation, so could someone please advise as to why my Master Licence will not activate on my Linux laptop?

Obviously, I can provide details of the licence registration code if required.

Make sure you're using MC 13.0.104 from the latest repo. If you're using the stable repo I recommend switching to the latest repo and installing MC 23.0.104.

Thank you very much for your prompt response!

I had a look and I had installed MC version 23.0.80 for Linux.

I installed MC 23.0.102 and my registration code was accepted by this version.

Much obliged for your assistance :)
