Sounds like it doesn't have the libav components or they are not compatible with your distro. You need to be connected to the internet so they can be downloaded/updated.
Look in ~/.jriver/Media Center 25/Plugins
You should see these directories with content in them:
linux_avcodec64
linux_chromium64

Ok, so it's an issue ONLY to the DAC.
Drop to a terminal prompt and do
/usr/lib/jriver/Media Center 25/alsacap
and attach the output of that command to a message here please..

hello bob!
after month of waiting, i try again mediacenter25
1.) ...videoproblems - i'm not a linux-guru, and so its not possible for me, to check your suggestion: /usr/lib/jriver/Media Center 25/alsacap
...because of the blanks in the foldername "media center 25"
2.) i try the last years media center, but there are still problems while importing videos -> see screenshots from my test folder
there are 48 videos in the test-folder, but only 32 are imported - for example videos "Laurie Anderson" avi missing.
-
Put " marks around the path for alsacap or use \ in front of each space.
The video's might have been imported as documents or bad.
Looks in Documents in the tree if you have them and remove them from the library.
