Title: Are plugins restricted to Windows?
Post by: TBoyInPuna on October 30, 2019, 07:30:49 pm
I have just begun to investigate writing plugins for MMC.  (I run Linux, and I miss MiniLyrics.)

Do I understand correctly that the plugin interface is dependent on COM objects?
Aren't COM objects a Microsoft only facility?
Does this mean that plugins only work when running MMC under Windows?

Thanks for an elucidation,
Travis

On the Devzone page on our wiki  (see Developer below), take a look at MCWS (Web Services).
